<span style="color: #222222;">In Manipur, three Assam Rifles personnel attained martyrdom and at least 6 others were injured while fighting the heavily armed militant group on Wednesday evening at a remote part of the State near Indo-Myanmar border. It has been reported that a team of 4th Assam Rifles were foot patrolling near Sajik Tampak Village along Indo-Myanmar border in Chandel district of Manipur when they came under an ambush carried out by the militants. The militant used IED and Mine blast and heavy firing during the ambush. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Assam Rifles personnel team also retaliated to the attack. However, the militants escaped the firing under thick jungle. Three Assam Rifles personnel died on the spot while at least 6 other personnel were injured in the incident. The bodies were brought to Imphal for post mortem and the injured personnel were admitted to an Army Military hospital. The martyred personnel are residents of Manipur, Assam and Nagaland. &nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile, Manipur Chief Minister has expressed strong condemnation of the attack on Assam Rifles men. Manipur Governor Dr. Najma Heptulla also condemned the attack. Late this evening, the banned militant outfits- Manipur Naga People's Front (MNPF), People's Revolutionary Party (PLA) and United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I) claimed the responsibility of the attack.</span><br />'' &nbsp;
