2nd Shahi Snan: Turn-out of pilgrims 5 times more

Turnout of pilgrims in second Shahi Snan of Sinhastha Kumbha Mela at Nashik and Tryambakeshwar is expected to be five times more than first shahi snan. The second 'Shahi Snan' of the ongoing Kumbh Mela is in full swing today. A report by our correspondent.<br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports, devotees are taking Holy Dip in Godavari River at different places from Midnight and still you can see lot of people coming towards various Ghats on Godvari. Till now more than 15 lakh devotees have taken Holy bath at various places. Coordinator of Akhil Bhartiya Akhada Mahasangha Dhananjay Bele said that at least 25 lakhs devotees will visit various Ghats of Godavari till tomorrow morning.<br/><br/>Today morning 30 to 40 thousand Vaishnava sadhus and mahantas have taken Royal Bath at Ramkunda in Nashik and 10 to 12 thousand shaiva sadhus and mahantas took Royal bath at Kushavarta in Tryambakeshvar. There Shahi snan was going on till noon. After there Shahi Snan Kushavarta and ramkunda were also opened for all Pilgrims. In the afternoon local people also started coming on various Ghats of Godavari. The process is expected to continue till tomorrow morning.
