2nd Shahi Snaan at Simhastha Mahakumbh begins with full fervor & gaiety

Second Shahi Snaan at Simhastha Mahakumbh began with full fervor and gaiety today at the banks of holy river Kshipra in Ujjain.<br/><br/>Sadhus and saints took holy dip in the river. The Shahi Snan began at 4 am in the morning.<br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports, the second 'Shahi Snaan' of month-long Simhastha Kumbh mela began early today with Naga Sadhus of Juna Arenas venturing into the holy Shipra river chanting Har Har Mahadev.<br/><br/>Ramghat has been decked up for the holy dip where the sadhus, Mahamandeleshwers and other pilgrims are taking Royal dip.<br/><br/>A sea of devotees have congregated in Ujjain to take part in the snaan that has become all the more auspicious as it coincide with Akshay Tritiya.<br/><br/>More than 20 Million faithful have reached this ancient city for the second Shahi Snan. Ujjain is also the abode of Lord Mahakaleshwar, one of the 12 jyotirlings in the country. All the 13 Arenas of seers have taken bath one after another and now common public is flocking over the ghats for which elaborate arrangements have been made along the banks of Shipra River.<br/><br/>Large number of central and state security personnel has been deployed for managing sea of crowd that is converging into the holy city from various parts of the country and also abroad.<br/><br/>Over 25,000 security personnel and NDRF teams are keeping a watch at the Mela venue.
