Corporate affairs Minister Veerapa Moily will chair the second round of consultations on the revised version of the National Competition Policy to be held in New Delhi on Thursday.

The consultations will deliberate upon ways to introduce sector specific policy changes that are required to adopt principles of competition. According to an official release, once in place, the policy will be a guide for various ministries and state governments to follow on competition.

The consultations comes after the Committee constituted for framing the National Competition Policy and related matters, prepared a draft of the Policy. The draft was put on the Ministry's website inviting comments from the industry, various departments and Ministries of the Central and State Governments and other stakeholders.
