In Tamil Nadu, 194 rural Panchayat unions, 63 municipalities and 270 town Panchayats will go to polls in the second phase of the local body elections to be held tomorrow.The State Election Commission has made elaborate security arrangements all over the state. The EVMs and ballot boxes are being guarded under tight security. Sensitive booths have been identified and put under video surveillance. Round the clock complaint cells are functioning at the respective district electoral offices to sort out issues immediately. Polling would begin at 7 am tomorrow and end at 5 pm.Polling passed off peacefully in the first phase held on Monday. Counting of votes will take place on the 21st of this month.
