2nd Edition of Women's Premier League to start today

The 2nd edition of the Women's Premier League (WPL) is set to start today. In the first match, reigning champions Mumbai Indians, led by the Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur will face Delhi Capitals led by the Australian Meg Lanning. The match will take place at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru at 7.30 PM, IST.

Similar to last year, five teams will compete in a total of 22 matches. Royal Challengers Bangalore, Gujarat Giants, and UP Warriors are the remaining teams. All the 22 matches are divided between two prominent stadiums; the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru and the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Each of these stadiums will host 11 matches. The Eliminator is set for March 15, and the final will be held on March 17 in Delhi.
