2nd edition of NCFF to be held in Jaipur from Nov 14

The second edition of National Children's Film Festival – NCFF organised by Children's Film Society of India – CFSI will be held in Jaipur, Rajasthan from 14th to 16th November with central theme of 'Make In India', showcasing India's potential in diverse fields.<br/><br/>About 40 films including award-winning movies like "Gopi Gawaiya Bagha Bajaiyaa", "Kima's Lode", "Budhia Singh" (On The Run) will be screened. Ramkishan Choyal's "Gauru", a film set in the background of Rajasthan with Ila Arun as one of the leading casts will be the opening film. Besides, the festival will have many workshops on Filmmaking, Animation and Script writing and open forum discussions.<br/><br/>Addressing a press conference in Mumbai today, CFSI Chairperson Mukesh Khanna said that the inaugural function will be held at Jaipur's Birla Auditorium while the movies will be screened across 10 theatres. Lamenting the lack of theatres showing children's films, Mr. Khanna informed that Doordarshan has allotted a weekly slot for showcasing CFSI's Films. <br/><br/>Meanwhile, Festival Director Dr. Shravan Kumar said, nurturing creativity and exposing children to value-based entertainment through CFSI films is the festival's main aim. He added that cultural programmes, a puppet show by Satyajit Padhye and Assam's "Bihu" Dance will be added attractions.
