The second edition of the India Golf Forum 2011, a part of Sportz Power Knowledge Series on Thursday kicked off at New Delhi with well-known personalities and officials associated with the game.Golf is currently the fastest growing sport in India and despite it's once 'elitist' image deficit, it is growing in terms of prize money, international winners from India and so forth. Both the Asian Tour and European Tour now partner major golf tournaments in India .SKS has so far focused on the Football, Cricket, and Golf through India Football Forum 2010, India Cricket Forum 2010, India Golf Forum 2010 and India Cricket forum 2011.Secretary Delhi Golf Society said Golf requires a definite infrastructure at a definite place to make it more accessible.While there is sufficient infrastructure in the country, the access to players is limited. Most remain under the control of the army or are private clubs. But there are sufficient success stories too, especially in other countries.
