In Sri Lanka, the 2nd court martial probing charges against Sarath Fonseka will resume its sittings on Friday. The hearings were postponed on two occasions on medical grounds. Army spokesman Major General Ubaya Medawala said four persons are likely to give evidence today on behalf of Sarath Fonseka. Recording of evidence from the prosecution side is already over. The 2nd Court Martial has been appointed to probe the charges on violating the purchasing procedure of the army.
