India won a gold medal in the Trap team event for women in the second Asian Shooting Championship held in Patiala. The team comprised Shagun Chaudhary, Varsha Tomar and Seema Tomar. The team event saw the participation of 17 countries in which Iran got the silver medal and bronze went to Thailand. In the individual trap event, India's Shagun Chaudhary got silver medal while the gold medal went to Kuwaiti shooter Alhawal Sara and Iran's Sirani Ipideh got the bronze.
