Supreme Court today sought explanation from the Government as to why the Prime Minister did not act for long on the issue of granting sanction to prosecute former Telecom Minister A Raja in the 2G Spectrum allocation scam. The apex court also sought clarification from the government whether a private citizen has the right to seek sanction for prosecution of a public servant for corruption from a competent authority. A Division Bench of the court asked for the government's response on the issue while hearing on a public interest litigation. Meanwhile, former Telecom Minister A. Raja today said that he has not done anything wrong and is ready for a probe.
