Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has said it would not be proper for him to say anything on the alleged 2G spectrum allocation scam, involving Union Telecommunication Minister A. Raja when Parliament Session is on and the matter was probably sub-judice. He was talking to reporters on his way back to New Delhi after taking part in Seoul G-20 summit. Asked about AIADMK leader Jayalalitha's offer of support to the UPA, Dr. Singh said it is for the Congress high command to take note of it as he was hearing of the offer for the first time. The Prime Minister, however, said that the Congress is in alliance with the DMK and that the alliance stands as of now.Telecom Minister A. Raja had earlier ruled out his resignation over the 2G spectrum allocation controversy. DMK Chief and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Karunanidhi has also came out strongly in support of Raja. Speaking to newsmen in Chennai, he said Raja has not flouted any rules and had only followed the procedures adopted by his predecessors in the NDA government, Pramod Mahajan and Arun Shourie. Karunanidhi said there was no need for Raja to quit.
