The Central Bureau of Investigation has submitted its status report on DMK leader Dayanidhi Maran's alleged role in the 2G spectrum scam in the Supreme Court.

The CBI sources said the agency told the Supreme Court that the probe against Essar-Loop Company and Dayanidhi Maran in the 2G case is still on. An FIR against Maran would be filed by the end of this month.
