Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee today held talks with UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi at her residence in New Delhi. Defence Minister A K Antony and political advisor to Mrs. Gandhi Ahmad Patel were also present in the meeting.

Congress sources told AIR that the meeting was held to discuss the 2G note on allocation of spectrum licences prepared by the finance ministry. Sources added that Mr. Mukherjee is also likely to meet the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh later on Wednesday evening to discuss the issue.
