The two-day meeting of the CPI(M) Politburo has begun in Kolkata this morning to discuss the present political situation in the country. Party General Secretary Prakash Karat is presiding over the meeting, which will finalise the strategies for the ensuing Assembly polls in five states, particularly West Bengal and Kerala. Air Kolkata correspondent reports the Politburo is also likely to finalise its course of action against the price rise of essential commodities and 2G Spectrum issue for the coming Budget Session of the Parliament. The highest policy making body of the CPI(M) is also to take up the issue of law and order situation in West Bengal.
