2G case:voice sample of talk b/w sacked CBI prosecutor & Unitech chief sent for forensic test

The CBI has taken the voice samples of its sacked public prosecutor A K Singh and Managing Director of Unitech Sanjay Chandra for matching them with the audio tape purportedly containing a conversation between the two discussing ways to allegedly weaken the 2G case.
The probe agency has also constituted a special team of officials who will make an assessment of damage, if any, to the prosecution in the spectrum allocation case. The CBI said the tapes purportedly containing the voice of Singh and Chandra had been sent for forensic examination.
Meanwhile, CBI Director Ranjit Sinha said that it has not polluted the probe into the case. Briefing reporters after appearing before the JPC, he, however admitted that the agency's reputation suffers on account of incidents.
Earlier, the CBI removed public prosecutor A K Singh from the 2G spectrum case after he was allegedly caught in a taped conversation discussing the prosecution strategy with one of the high-profile accused in the 2G spectrum allocation case.
