In Manipur, 282 candidates have filed their nomination papers for the upcoming state assembly elections. Today was the last day of filing nomination papers for the assembly elections. Scrutiny of the nomination papers will be held tomorrow. Senior Congress Leader and state Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh, Congress Party state unit President Gaikhangam, Manipur People’s Party President Dr. Nimaichand Luwang, former Union Minister of State Th. Chaoba Singh, CPI leader and state Agriculture Minister Ph. Parijat Singh are among the political stalwarts who have filed their nomination papers.
