In Sikkim 28 Percent of the population lives in urban areas. Census-2011 released by the State Directorate of Census Operations in Gangtok on Wednesday , say Sikkim has made a significant progress, bringing more prosperity to its people.The condition of the houses, the quality of their life style , facilities like safe drinking, modes of transport and communication along with use of LPG fuel and electricity, even in the remote villages, have increased manifolds.AIR Gangtok correspondent adds that there are still 13% Households in the state having no toilet facility.
