In Iraq, 28 people have been killed and 68 others wounded in suicide explosion in northern Baghdad yesterday.Voice of Iraq news agency quoting security sources reports that the incident occurred when a bomber blew up an explosive belt strapped to his body amid a group of Shiite pilgrims. The Pilgrims were heading for Imam Moussa al-Kadhim shrine near Bridge of Imams in al-Aadhamiya region of northern Baghdad.Large number of Shiite worshippers streamed into the Iraqi capital for the pilgrimage amid heavy security. The incident occurred despite a vehicle ban across the region and 2 lakh members of security forces were deployed along the way to the shrine, searching pilgrims for weapons at various checkpoints.
