In the Kashmir valley, 27 youths involved in stone pelting were released on Tuesday at Srinagar. Talking to media Inspector General of Police Kashmir Range S. M. Sahai said the youths were released under the general amnesty announced by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on the 28th of this month. He said that those involved in looting and arson and causing damage to the public property will not be given any leniency.
