In Pakistan, at least twenty seven people, including three solders, were killed on Friday in gunfights in Mohmand after about 150 militants attacked paramilitary check points near the border with Afghanistan. Local administration officials and paramilitary force confirmed the attack and casualties. According to Geo News, the insurgents resorted to heavy machinery to carry out a highly improvised attack on the checkpost. Government sources confirmed that militants have gained control over said checkpost.
