26th anniversary of Bhopal Gas leak tragedy today

Today is the 26th anniversary of internationally known Bhopal Gas leak tragedy. It was on the midnight of 2nd and 3rd December of 1984 when the tragedy had struck claiming more than three thousand human lives and maiming thousands of survivors for life. Rallies, demonstrations, seminars and exhibitions will be held by various organizations to mark the occasion. The 26th anniversary of the Bhopal Gas tragedy is being marked today by a number of functions in various parts of the capital city. Rallies, processions and public meetings are the main features of the anniversary. Some organizations are preparing to burn effigies of Warren Anderson, the then Chairman of the Union Carbide Corporation.
