In Jammu and Kashmir, 15 persons were killed and about 36 others seriously injured in Udhampur district when a passenger carrying marriage party skidded off the road. AIR correspondent reports that the vehicle fell into a 600 feet deep gorge.

In another accident in Himachal Pradesh, eleven persons were killed and eighteen others injured when a private vehicle rolled down into a deep gorge near Basog at Shillai Development Block of Sirmour district today. The accident took place when the vehicle with 29 persons were gong to Timbi market from Baksar.
