In Malaysia, at least 26 people were killed on Monday morning when a bus carrying a group of tourists from Thailand overturned on a Highway in the northern state of Perak. The bus was returning to the capital, Kuala Lumpur, from a popular tourist area, the Cameron Highlands. Reports said the bus spun out of control and then hit a road divider. An official said twenty-two people were pronounced dead at the scene and four more died on the way to hospital. It is not clear how many people were on the bus but about a dozen other people were said to be injured. About 100 personnel were sent to the scene for rescue operation.
