India will demand an affirmative action from Pakistan regarding conviction of 26/11 Mumbai terror attack accused. An Indian delegation led by foreign Secretary Nirupma Rao will leave for Islamabad on Thursday to hold comprehensive dialogue with her counter part Salman Bashir. Besides talks on Mumbai attack, all outstanding issues including Jammu and Kashmir are likely to be discussed. Highly placed sources in External Affairs Ministry said in New Delhi today that all documents pertaining to Mumbai attacks have been handed over to Pakistan and India expects concrete results from the trials in Pakistan. It was pointed out that India has no objection to a Judicial Commission from Pakistan to visit India. Pakistan is yet to place a formal request in this regard. AIR correspondent reports, the talks will be the latest addition to the step-by-step re- engagement process which the two sides zeroed in on in Thimphu in February this year. The two countries had agreed to resume their bilateral talks to resolve all outstanding issues in a constructive and forward looking manner and also to narrow down the trust deficit between the two sides. It was also decided that meetings at the level of respective secretaries will be convened on counter terrorism, humanitarian and economic issues, peace and security including Confidence Building Measures promotion of friendly exchanges, and Sir Creek issues. Meanwhile, the External Affairs Minister S M Krishna and Foreign Secretary Nirupma Rao will be visiting Myanmar tomorrow to hold dialogue with the Civil Government there for the first time. It will take stock of broad based exchange on the issues of connectivity, I T, telecommunication and infrastructure among other things.
