26/11 Attack: Pak-American LeT operative Headley to depose before Mumbai court tomorrow

Pakistani-American Lashkar-e-Taiba operative David Coleman Headley would depose before a special Mumbai court tomorrow. <br/><br/>Mumbai Special court Judge GA Sanap had on December 10, last year, made Headly an approver and directed him to depose before the court on February 8. <br/><br/>It is expected that Headley would reveal broader aspect of criminal conspiracy and who all were involved in the 26/11 terror attack on Mumbai attacks which had left 166 dead and 309 others injured.<br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports, the trial of the 26/11 terror attack on Mumbai is set to witness a historic milestone tomorrow with the deposition of key plotter of the attack David Coleman Headley before a special court in Mumbai tomorrow morning. <br/><br/>Headly's deposition would be recorded via video conferencing between 7 am to 12. 30 pm and it would later continue for next few days as well. <br/><br/>Senior Public Prosecutor Mr. Ujjwal Nikam said Headley's evidence is important to unfold many facts behind the 26/11 attack. he also said that Headly could also clear Pakistan's role in the attacks. <br/><br/>Headly is currently in the custody of United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). He was sentenced to jail for 35 years in prison for his role in Mumbai attacks on January 24, 2013.

Pakistani-American LeT operative David Headley will for the first time depose before a Mumbai court tomorrow through video conference. <br/><br/>The court had on December 10, last year, made Headly an approver and directed him to depose before the court on February 8.<br/><br/>The court is currently trying key plotter Sayed Zabiuddin Ansari alias Abu Jundal. Special Public Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam said, this is for the first time in the Indian legal history that a 'foreign terrorist' will appear before an Indian court and testify.<br/><br/>Nikam said Headley's evidence is important to unfold many facts behind the 26/11 attack. Meanwhile, a Mumbai police official said that Headley can give broader aspect of criminal conspiracy and who all were involved in the attacks which had left 166 dead and 309 others injured. <br/><br/>Headley is currently serving 35 years prison sentence in the US for his role in the Mumbai terror attacks.
