A Delhi court remanded Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorist Syed Zabiuddin Ansari alias Abu Jundal, the key 26/11 handler to Delhi Police custody for another 15 days. Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Vinod Yadav yesterday said, Jundal's interrogation by the Special Cell will also help other agencies in their probe in various terror-related cases. The court said, other agencies like National Investigation Agency, NIA and Mumbai Police' ATS and CID, would have to wait for seeking custody of Jundal till July 20 when his remand with Delhi Police will expire.
The Delhi Police submitted that the call detail records of the SIM cards were obtained through diplomatic channels and were being analyzed.
The court was also informed about the probe it was conducting to establish the link between Jundal and other co-accused persons and invisible handlers in Lashkar-e-Toiba and Indian Mujahideen.
Meawhile, the Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram said that India has conveyed to Islamabad that information from the interrogation of LeT Terrorist Abu Jundal clearly points to involvement of Pakistan in the 26/11 terror attack in Mumbai.
The Minister speaking to newsmen in Kolkata yesterday said that information received from the interrogation clearly pointed to involvement of non-state actors and state actors in Pakistan.
