The Mumbai police today filed a supplementary charge sheet in the 26/11 terror attack case naming LeT operative Zabiuddin Ansari alias Abu Jundal as one of the key conspirators. According to Joint Commissioner Himanshu Roy The Crime Branch filed a voluminous 14,676 page charge sheet in the court of Additional Metropolitan Magistrate P S Rathod.
Roy said the charge sheet includes the names of 1783 witnesses and 47 others who are wanted in connection with the attacks. Jundal was subjected to custodial interrogation after he was brought to Mumbai from Delhi where he had been arrested following his deportation from Saudi Arabia in June this year. Jundal, a native of Maharashtra's Beed district, had taught Hindi to the lone surviving 26/11 gunman Ajmal Kasab and his nine accomplices who were involved in the attacks at Mumbai's landmarks including CST railway station and Taj Mahal Hotel which left 166 dead and many more injured.
