A massive fire broke out this morning at the Tiljala jhuggi jhupri cluster, behind the Science City Complex in the Southern fringes of Kolkata. <br/><br/>All total, 250 jhuggi units were gutted completely in the fire. 20 fire engines took more than 3 hours to drowse the fire completely. <br/><br/>More than a thousand people have been rendered homeless due to the fire. The reason for the fire has still not been ascertained, although the bursting of a cooking gas cylinder is suspected to have caused the fire. No loss of life has so far being reported in the incident. <br/><br/>
