In Punjab, 250 companies of para-military forces are being deployed in the state for the smooth conduct polling. State Election Office has registered 1940 complaints of election code violation and out of which 980 have been disposed off.Meanwhile, complaints to stop the use of black money and drugs during polling is going on and Rs.25 crores 85 lakhs unaccounted money has been seized. Large quantities of poppy husk, liquor, opium and drugs have also been seized. One lakh 87 thousands licensed weapons have been deposited in the police stations.
