In Uttar Pradesh, 25 senior engineers from Jal Nigam including chief general manager of Construction and Design Services Wing have been suspended. They have been alleged of dereliction in their duties during laying sewer lines in different districts. FIRs against four engineers of the wing posted in Allahabad have also been lodged for compromising the quality of construction of a school in the district. Quoting official sources our Allahabad correspondent reports that senior officials have been charged of not supervising the works done by their subordinates.
