Defence Ministry has decided that 25 per cent of Domestic Capital Procurement and Acquisition Budget amounting to over 21,000 crore rupees will be earmarked for domestic private industries in the current financial year. The Ministry said, it has also been decided that 1500 crore rupees will be earmarked for procurement from Start-ups including iDEX Start-up to foster innovation and encourage technology development in defence sector.
