25 killed in landslides and flooding across the central and southern Philippines after Tropical Storm Megi

In the Philippines, the authorities said yesterday that at least 25 people died in landslides and floods caused by tropical storm Megi as it hit the eastern and southern coasts of the Southeast Asian country. The Police Chief of Baybay city Joemen Collado said, the bodies of 22 people were recovered in the eastern province of Leyte after being buried under a landslide. <br />''<br />''Meanwhile, the National Disaster Agency also said that three people had died in the southern Davao region.
