25 feared drowned in a boat tragedy in river Baghmati in Khagaria district

In Bihar, at least 25 passengers were feared drowned when an overcrowded boat capsized in mid stream of swollen river Baghmati in Khagaria district of the state on Monday evening. District Magistrate Abhai Kumar Singh said, seven dead bodies have been fished out so far. Search operation is on to locate missing dead bodies. Over 50 passengers were returning to their native village after participating in celebration of Durga Puja. 20 passengers swam to safety. <br/>Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has announced an exgratia of one lakh fifty thousand rupees to the next of kin of the deceased.<br/>
