24th SurajKund Craft Mela begins

The 24th SurajKund Craft Mela began on Monday in the outskirts of national capital Delhi. The fortnight long mega event was inaugurated by the vice president Mohammad Hamid Ansari.<br/><br/>The CRAFT MELA showcases the finest Indian handlooms, handicrafts and other handmade things.<br/><br/>Over 400 craftsperson from across the country and artisans from other countries are participating in the mega event. They include Tajikistan, Egypt, Nepal, Afghanistan, Thailand and Bangladesh among others.<br/><br/>Union Tourism minister Shailja, Chief Minister of Haryana Mr. Bhupinder singh Hudda, Chief Minister of Rajsthan Mr. Ashok Gehlot and other eminent personalities were also present during the inaugural function.
