247 Lifeline Udan flights transported 418 tons of medical supplies across the country: Govt

<span style="color: #222222;">Government today said that 247 Lifeline Udan flights have transported 418 tons of medical supplies across the country during the lockdown period.  The Civil Aviation Ministry said, 154 of these flights have been operated by Air India and Alliance Air. It said, Air India and Indian Air Force collaborated primarily for Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, North-East and other island regions. The Ministry said, Air India operated first flight under Krishi Udan program between Mumbai and London on 13th of this month carrying 29 tons of fruits and vegetables to London and returned with over 15 tonnes of general cargo material. Air India operated its second flight between Mumbai and Frankfurt yesterday, carrying 27 tons of seasonal fruits and vegetables to Frankfurt and returned with 10 tonnes of general cargo.</span><br />
