24 Naxals including 4 women surrenders before police in Chhattisgarh

In Chhattisgarh, 24 Naxals including four women surrendered before the police in Kondagaon district yesterday. Police said, the ultras, all of them hailing from Chhattisgarh, took the step as they were fed up with the harassment and discrimination meted out to them by their senior leaders based in Andhra Pradesh. They said, a dozen of these insurgents were carrying rewards ranging from 1 lakh rupees to 5 lakh rupees on their heads. The rebels, who held different ranks in the outlawed movement, were active in Kondagaon, Bastar, Kanker and Narayangarh districts.
