In Kyrgyzstan, at least 24 people, including nine children, were killed in a landslide that swept over houses in a village in the south-Western region of the country early today.<br/><br/>The landslide, caused by heavy rains, destroyed eleven houses in the village in Uzgen district of Osh region. The Emergency Ministry said, the exact number of people hit by the landslide was unclear. <br/><br/>An initial statement by Emergencies ministry reported that four people had died and at least 20 were missing. <br/><br/>Authorities in the local administration said people in the area were warned about risks of a possible landslide and recommended to leave the area.
