The 24 Indian fishermen who were arrested by Sri Lanka Navy last night have been remanded to judicial custody till the 28th of this month. Of these, 21 fishermen have been sent to Vavuniya jail, while three were found to be minors and have been sent to a juvenile home. <br/><br/>Sri Lanka Navy had captured 4 Indian fishing vessels and arrested 24 fishermen off the coast of Thalaimannar on charges of violating the international maritime boundary line. The arrested fishermen were brought to Mannar and produced before Mannar Magistrate in the afternoon. 78 Indian fishermen are now in Sri Lanka's jails on charges of trespassing and poaching.
