<span style="color: #222222;">In Telangana, the 24-hour long Janata Curfew began today morning bringing the state almost to a shutdown. All transport services including bus, Metro Rail, MMTS and Rail services came to a halt following a call by the state Government for 24-hour long self-imposed curfew. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The self-imposed Curfew of people began at 6 AM today and will continue till 6AM tomorrow. Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's clarion call for Janta Curfew, the state Government announced its extension till tomorrow 6AM.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' Meanwhile, for the first time, the state government invoked the Epidemic Diseases Act 1897 which empowers senior officials to take measures necessary to contain the outbreak of Coronavirus. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">With invoking the act, all private and corporate hospitals in the state will now have to set aside Covid-19 corners to screen suspected cases and when needed by the senior health authorities.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' A five-member committee also has been set up to study the measures to be taken to control the incidence of coronavirus with the ICMR-CCMB Director Dr Rakesh K Mishra and IICT Director Dr S Chandrsekhar as members among others.</span><br />''
