2,345 entries received for prestigious PM's Excellence Awards

A record number of 2,345 entries have been received to compete for the prestigious Prime Minister's Award for Excellence in Public Administration 2017. The award will be given by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Civil Services Day on 21st of next month. Among the North-Eastern and Hill States, Assam has sent maximum number of entries. <br/><br/>Minister of State for Personnel Dr Jitendra Singh said, this year's awards will be based primarily on excellence in implementation of five priority programmes, which include Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana, e-National Agriculture Market and Startup India, Standup India. He said, the new concept and format of Civil services Day has inculcated a spirit of healthy competition among young Collectors and Deputy Commissioners across the country to showcase their work and to share it with the rest of the fraternity across the country.
