Twenty three bodies have been recovered from the Ethiopian airliner crash site off the Lebanese coast. According to Lebanon’s official National news agency rescue teams are still searching for the remaining passengers. Lebanese army and UNIFIL helicopters and German warships are coordinating the efforts. The Ethiopian airliner fell 8 kilometers off the Lebanese coast this morning after taking off Beirut’s Rafik Hariri International Airport with 97 passengers on board. The plane was seen catching fire and suddenly plunged into the sea 8 kilometers off Nameh coast. 54 Lebanese and 23 Ethiopians were among those passengers who were on board the flight. Lebanon’s President Sleiman has ruled out any sabotage and expressed the hope to find survivors in the Ethiopian plane crash.
