22nd edition of Rang Bharat Mahotsav kicks off in New Delhi

<span style="color: #222222;">The 22nd edition of Rang Bharat Mahotsav kicked off in New Delhi on Tuesday. Presented by National School of Drama, this prestigious international theatre festival will stage 33 plays in the national capital and 47 in 9 other major cities from today till 26th of February. <br />''<br />''These cities are, Jammu, Bhopal, Guwahati, Ranchi, Nasik, Rajahmundry, Kevadia, Jaipur and Srinagar. Various allied events like launching of books, director's meet, national and international seminars, and masterclass by the stalwarts from theatre community will also take place on the sidelines of this festival. The closing ceremony of the festival will take place in Kevadia on 26th of February.<br />''<br />''Speaking after inaugurating the festival, Minister of State for Culture Arjun Ram Meghwal said that the festival in this period of Amritkaal will definitely play an important role in the renaissance of Indian culture and diversity.<br />''<br />''On this occasion, the Minister also called for staging plays on the contribution of various unsung heroes in the Indian freedom struggle. He said the government is laying a great emphasis on giving a wider publicity to the stories of unsung freedom warriors so that youth can know their contribution which was not recorded or written anywhere.</span><br />
