In Tamil Nadu, twenty-two persons were killed on Sunday after the boat in which they went on a pleasure trip capsized in Pulicat Lake, about 60 kms from Chennai. Police said, about 25 persons were in the boat, some of the passengers have been rescued.Initial reports said the victims hailed from different places in and around Chennai and the boat was reportedly operated by a local fishermen. Some of the bodies had been recovered by rescue teams.According to Police, overloading and heavy wind were the reasons for the accident. So far seven bodies have been covered. Search operations are going on in full swing. More details are awaited.
