The 21st Conference of Central and Sates Statistical Organisation started on Thursday in Panaji.The conference was inaugurated by S. Jeyalakshmi, Director General, Central Statistics Organisation.In her address to the participants, Jeyalakshmi, focused on the importance of statistical data and said it has played an important role in the planning and policy process for the Government.The conference has been organised by Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, Government of India in collaboration with Government of Goa.
