<span style="color: #222222;">Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has announced free food service for senior citizens and homeless in eight cities in view of 21 day lockdown. State government has announced a number of measures for the ease of people at ground level in view of nationwide lockdown. AIR correspondent  reports that free of cost meals will be provided to the elderly and the aged living alone in the metropolis of the state under Vadil Vandana program announced by the CM,. This initiative will be implemented in Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Bhavnagar, and Gandhinagar. The doorstep tiffin services will be provided by the respective municipal corporations in cooperation with NGOs. The Government also decided not to charge the fixed rent on the monthly electricity bills of all the GEB consumers including small businesses in view of lockdown. Meanwhile CM basis urged labourers from the neighbouring states not to leave the state and assured them to provide basis needs including food.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The government has also started an Emergency helpline to ensure the provision of essential items during the lockdown. Secretary to CM Mr. Ashwani Kumar said that a dedicated Control Room has also been started at the State Emergency Operation Center to ensure easy facilitation and monitoring of essential items for the citizens of Gujarat. Meanwhile, the state reported 44 positive cases for Covid 19.</span><br />
