The 15-member squad for next month's World Cup and the upcoming tri-nation series, involving Australia and England, has been announced. Resting all speculation, the Indian Selection Committee picked up all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja ahead of Yuvraj Singh for the 15 member World Cup squad. Addressing a press conference in Mumbai, BCCI secretary Sanjay Patel said Ravindra Jadeja is undergoing rehabilitation and recovering wonderfully well. He added that Jadeja should be fit to train within 10 days. He also mentioned that Yuvraj Singh's name was discussed in the meeting along with several other players. The team was finalized after deliberations were held between five selectors in Mumbai while Dhoni and coach Duncan Fletcher were on the conference call.Mahendra Singh Dhoni will be the captain of the Indian team and Virat Kohli will be his deputy. While Ajinkya Rahane, Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma and Suresh Raina have been included in the team, Murali Vijay and Robin Utthappa failed to find their place in the final 15. Considering the pacy wickets in Australia and New Zealand, the selectors have opted to go with four specialist pace bowlers namely Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammad Shami, Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav.Surprise inclusions in the team have been Stuart Binny and Axar Patel.ICC World Cup 2015 to be held in Australia and New Zealand will be held between 14th February and 29th March. Defending champions, India will begin its campaign on 15th February against its arch rivals Pakistan.Meanwhile, BCCI has announced the same team with an addition of 2 names for the tri series against Australia and England to be played from 16th January.
