Government has said that the 2015-16 year will be celebrated as Jal Kranti Varsh across the country to highlight the need of conservation and saving of water. Addressing the 3rd India Water Week in New Delhi yesterday, Water Resources Minister Uma Bharati said the programme will be celebrated in each district of the country.

She also informed that all the State Governments are on board in this noble mission. Referring to Prime Minister’s call for making Water Conservation a true Public Movement, Ms Bharati said, Centre and States should make joint efforts in this endeavour.
