London's 2012 Paralympics has ended with a fiery finale and official handover to 2016 host, Rio de Janeiro. The show, described as a "festival of flame" honouring Britain's ancient traditions and festivals, brought 11 days of sport to a close.The 33-member Indian Paralympic team, including silver medallist Girisha Hosanagara Nagaraje Gowda, will be returning to the country tomorrow morning. Girisha, who finished second in the Men's High Jump F-42 event, might be the lone medallist in the squad but the Paralympic Committee of India has plans to accord a grand welcome to each and every athlete at the airport.
