2011 ICC WC prize money raised to USD one crore

The ICC Executive board has agreed to set one crore-dollar prize money for the ICC world cup to be held in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. This was announced by ICC chief executive Haroon Lorgat in a press conference after the two day meet of ICC board in Dubai on Tuesday. He informed that ICC has decided to appoint a new full time security manager keeping in view the threat perceptions. The Chief executive also said that T-20 world cup will not be affected due to ongoing disruption to air travel in Europe. Meanwhile in reply to a question on IPL developments, the ICC chief executive said that ICC would watch carefully but any controversy around cricket is not good for the game.
